Is U.S. energy consumption a problem?
The United States is the largest consumer of energy in total use. We use more energy than we can produce so imported energy like oil makes up the difference. The majority of our nations energy comes from fossil fuels which hurts the environment. In 2007 we produced 106,554 megawatts of renewable energy compared to the 892,284 megawatts of nonrenewable energy that we consume. Proving that we demand so much energy that over time we are going to run out of fossil fuels, nuclear and other nonrewable energy sorces. When it comes to the to the U.S. energy consumption its problem because when all the nonrenewable fuels run the renewable fuels will not meet are demand unless we change.

That's good outside information but try to relate more to the information at hand on the word document.
ReplyDeleteI like the new perspective you take on the issue, like looking at what the US produces and how it is not able to produce as much as it consumes. The advice I would give is to go into a little more depth in regeards to not only the US but the entire world.

ReplyDeleteGood work, I like the information and the comparison between the amount of resources we use. It might also be a good idea to add our population compared to other countries so they can compare that with our energy usage.
ReplyDeleteYour information was clear and to the point. Good use of stats and numbers. I guess the only thing I can reccomend is to add graphs or something to make it interesting
